Distressed Property Solutions – Renovation Loan Programs

This course will help Realtors® and consumers identify various types of properties needing repairs or upgrades. Students will understand the specific programs that are available to help them purchase real estate while allowing for the renovations that will fix the home to minimal property standards for loan or for preferences and cosmetic appeal.

At course completion, students will understand how they can offer VA, FHA and/or conventional financing on virtually any property, regardless of condition. The goal of the class is to allow more buyers to purchase homes that might previously have been out of reach due to lack of adequate financing that includes the necessary repairs, inspections, contractor bids, appraisals, etc. 3 Hours CEUs or lunch and learn options available.

Meet the Instructor

John Adams is the instructor for Distressed Property Solutions and Military Mortgage Boot Camp. He has been in the mortgage industry for almost 16 years working in almost every capacity in finance from Mortgage Banker to Area Manager. He’s been a national top producer recognized for top renovation loan units produced in 2010 through to 2018. He designed and teaches “Distressed Property Solutions” across the state. He also has been certified to teach for the Military Mortgage Boot Camp as an instructor and Veteran Advocate. Students can earn three hours of free CE on the mortgage programs available today. John Adams has spent the last 9 years of his career focusing on helping home buyers to use VA Renovation loans, Fannie Mae Homestyle renovation and FHA 203k renovation loans. He shows clients and agents how to renovate them to their preferences. John has simplified the process that eliminates confusion and time crunches specifically for the processes of Va and Renovation loans. John Adams and his team can help you turn a bank owned, tired or fixer opportunity property into your dream home and show veterans a better way home. He has sat on the education chairs for the sales and marketing council of NEFBA (North East Florida Builders Association) and Co-chairs the Realtor builder accord as well as the education chair and RPAC co-chairs for NEFAR (North East Florida Realtors Association. He Lives in Amelia Island, Florida, with his wife Stephanie and children John and Lillian, where he purchased and renovated his family dream home using the same techniques you’ll learn in this class.
